How to Delete Pins on Pinterest One at a Time
If you want to delete just one Pin at a time, start by opening the Pinterest app or website and logging in. Then, click on your profile picture in the top right corner to go to your profile. Once you’re there:
- Open the board and section (if applicable) that the Pin is in.
- Hover over the Pin and locate the Edit icon.
- Click on the three dots and select “Delete” in the bottom left corner.
- Confirm the action by clicking “Delete Pin.”
This will delete the Pin from your profile immediately. It will stay on other users’ boards if they’ve saved it, but it will be removed from your own boards. If you want to delete multiple Pins at once, read on!
How to Delete Multiple Pins at Once
If you want to delete Pins in bulk, the process is a little different. Start by opening Pinterest and going to your profile and opening one of your boards. Then, find the Organize button in the header and click it. Choose “Select and reorder.” Now, you can select all the Pins you want to delete by clicking on them.
Find the trashcan icon at the bottom of the screen and click on it. You’ll be asked to confirm the action of permanently deleting all the Pins you selected. Once you’re sure, click “Delete.” And that’s it! You’ve now learned how to delete Pins on Pinterest, one at a time or multiple at once.
Deleting a Pin You Created vs. One That You Saved
Now, you may wonder if the process is any different if you’re deleting a Pin that you created vs. one that you saved from the web. If it’s your own Pin that you’re deleting, keep in mind that it will stay on other users’ boards if they’ve saved it. So if you’re trying to delete a Pin because you don’t want anyone to see it anymore, it’s impossible to completely remove it from Pinterest unless it violates the terms of service. In that case, you can report it.
Deleting a Pinterest Board – Will It Delete the Pins?
If you want to delete an entire board on Pinterest, the process is pretty simple. Just go to your profile and hover over the board you want to delete. In the top right corner of the board, you’ll see a three-dot icon. Click on it and select “Delete board.”
Deleting a board on Pinterest also deletes all the Pins on that board. So if you want to keep the Pins, make sure to first move them to another board! You can do this by opening the board, hovering over the Pins, clicking on the Edit icon and changing their board.
How to Unpin a Pin From a Board
If you want to keep a Pin but remove it from one of your boards, you’ll need to move it to another board. We described how to do that in the previous section. Can You Get Rid of All Pins on Pinterest?
The only quick way to completely get rid of all Pins on Pinterest is to delete your Pinterest account. Once you do that, everything – your Pins, boards, and profile – will be permanently deleted. If you’re not ready to delete your account but want to start fresh, you can also archive your boards. This will remove them from your profile but keep them safe so you can unarchive them later if you change your mind.
Another way to delete all Pins at once is to delete all your boards. This will take a bit longer but it’s an option if you want to get rid of everything on Pinterest but keep your account.
